Your Support Brings the World to our Schools

“The arts are part of our everyday lives – no matter who you are or where you live – they have the power to transform individuals and transcend boundaries.”

– Jane Chu, Chairman, National Endowment for the Arts

Lotus has been bringing transformational arts experiences to our youngest audiences for more than twenty years through Lotus Blossoms – our dedicated Spring outreach program.  Since 1996, Lotus Blossoms has engaged over 120,000 K-12 students and young people in Monroe and surrounding counties with music, song, dance, and storytelling from around the globe, building appreciation for different cultural traditions and the people who bring them to life.

Lotus Blossoms programming creates opportunities for children to meet artists from all over the world and to transcend boundaries through the beauty of music and the arts.  With each new encounter – new sounds, new languages, new faces, new stories – students are encouraged to explore their curiosity about the wider world and to embrace diversity with wonder and respect.

“Friends of Lotus” – people like you – make such experiences possible. This year’s budget for Lotus Blossoms tops $30,000, and we depend on gift contributions to cover nearly 80% of these expenses and keep these opportunities accessible to all.

Will you make the gift that helps transform a child’s life through the arts?

Your 2016 tax-deductible donation to Lotus helps:

With your support, Lotus can keep bringing world-class global ambassadors into our schools and communities.  Let’s work together to offer a world of arts to children who have limited opportunities for these experiences.

Please join us by making a gift today.  Thank you!

Sincerely,

Sunni Fass
Executive Director
