Collective Support for Bigger Impact

Lotus Giving Groups harness collective support to create bigger impacts on specific program goals.  A decade ago, members of the Lotus staff created Lotus giving groups to bring like-minded donors together for a common cause, and have their support recognized as a group among Lotus corporate sponsors.

Now ten years old, Women of Lotus is a visible force dedicated to raising the profile of and financial support for women performers. While women have always had a strong presence at our Festival, they are still woefully underrepresented in the world music scene at large. In part due to Women of Lotus’s continued support, this year Lotus will present more lead women artists performing than ever before!

Current Board Member Jillian Kinzie recognized the impact that many individuals can make with a combined contribution and created the Volunteers of Lotus group. This group recognizes the generous volunteers that give both their time and financial support to help Lotus create and carry out visionary programming that nurtures our curiosity about different cultures, people, and places.

Each of these groups are currently looking for more generous supporters to join together to make a united contribution to support the ethnic and musical diversity that Lotus brings to our town every year. A gift of $30 or more from each contributor will go a long way.

Please consider making a gift online now (click on “Add special instructions” and mention “Women of Lotus” or “Volunteers of Lotus”, or mail in a check today to the Lotus office (PO Box 1667 / Bloomington, IN 47402), made out to Lotus and note “Women of Lotus” of “Volunteers of Lotus” in the memo line.

*Each Giving Group donor will be listed as a Friend of Lotus; the groups will be named among the Festival’s corporate sponsors, acknowledged at selected Lotus performances, and listed on listed on the Lotus website.

Your contributions, large and small, make our work possible. When you donate to Lotus, you commit to helping foster the love of the diversity of the world’s cultures in South Central Indiana. There are many ways to donate to Lotus. Click “Donate” for more information.
