Lotus coat/food drive for Beacon, Inc
Lotus is teaming up with Beacon, Inc. to collect coats, gloves, socks, and other cold weather clothing before the coldest weather sets in. We’ve also had a request to collect food items in the form of canned goods, and $25 gift cards to Kroger, Walmart, and dollar stores to help bridge the “SNAP gap”. At Crawford, they can really use shelf stable foods, hygiene and household cleaning supplies, and home goods like sheets and dishes.
A full list of items requested by Beacon can be found on this Beacon Wish List.
Beacon is an organization dedicated to helping people experiencing extreme poverty and homelessness via its various programs: Shalom Center, Phil’s Kitchen, Friends Place, Street Outreach, Rapid Re-housing, and Crawford Homes. The work they do is crucial and helps to address the broad needs in our community.
The Lotus collection drive will take place the week before Thanksgiving. Bring clean new or used items to our Lotus Firebay, 105 S Rogers, on the following days and times:
November 17 ~ 3:00 – 5:30 p.m.
November 19 ~ 3:00 – 5:30 p.m.
November 21 ~ 3:00 – 5:30 p.m.
If you have items to drop off but can’t make one of the listed times, please contact Tamara Loewenthal, artisticdirector@lotusfest.org, to arrange an alternative time.
Thank you so much for your support.
