David Greely and Steve Riley formed the Mamou Playboys in 1988 and made over a dozen albums, four of which were Grammy nominated. David learned Cajun music onstage with Steve in rural dance halls of Southwest Louisiana and in his apprenticeship to the great Dewey Balfa. Amelia Biere moved from Wisconsin to Louisiana to explore Cajun music with all her heart. Her beautiful voice, phrasing, and impeccable French, along with fine guitar and fiddle skills, have made her sought after by new and adventurous bands in the Lafayette music community and earned her a Cajun Vocalist of the Year award. Together, David and Amelia find the choicest tunes and songs that bloom beautifully in an intimate acoustic duo to create a fresh window into Cajun home music.
