It takes lots of community buy-in to create the Lotus World Music and Arts Festival every year: from volunteers, from fans who buy tickets, from the City of Bloomington, and from the many diverse sponsors who step forward to provide crucial financial support. Large and small, every festival sponsorship counts. Which means that you (yes, you) could be a Lotus sponsor, too.
For many sponsors, supporting Lotus is more than a financial transaction. “The key benefit of sponsoring Lotus is supporting Bloomington as a whole,” says Chris Martin, of Hanapin Marketing. “We sponsor the top events that take place on a regular basis so that we can continue to live and work in a great community.”
Other sponsors share the feeling that by supporting Lotus, they support an event that makes Bloomington unique. Geoff Grodner, of Mallor Grodner Attorneys, says, “Lotus music and artists expose Bloomington to cultures from around the world; this is a unique opportunity for a community this size.” Longtime sponsors Jan Grant and David Lawler — of the Center for Sound Sleep — put it this way: “We sponsor Lotus because it’s an honor to be financially supportive of an organization so aligned with our personal values in mission, creativity, quality, and community outreach.”
The fact is, income from ticket sales covers slightly more than 60% of our costs. The rest comes from sponsors, making them important partners in the production of every Festival, partners who value our mission as much as we do. Says Cairril Mills, of Cairril.com Design & Marketing, “I believe the festival experience brings people of different walks of life together and expands cultural horizons, which leads to more positive feelings towards those who are different from us. Lotus is creativity personified.”
Check out our Sponsorship page for details on sponsor levels, and note that at $1,000 and higher, your business has nice options for naming rights to assorted Festival components.
