Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash grew up learning the intricacies of the sarod – the four-stringed lute of classical Indian music. Sons of sarod master Amjad Ali Bangash (Amjad Ali Khan), they are the seventh generation of a musical lineage known as the Senia Bangash School. Since childhood, they have performed throughout the world with their father, and as a duo, experimenting with collaborations that bring the sarod into harmony with other cultural traditions and musical genres.
