How did you first hear about the Lotus organization?

Our next door neighbor told us to go before our moving boxes were unpacked when we moved back to Bloomington in 2002.

What initially inspired you to volunteer for our organization?

It was clearly an organization that I wanted to be a part of.

What volunteer jobs have you performed?

Volunteered for Set up, Merchandise, and Artist Hospitality; Served on inaugural Sites Committee, then chaired the Streets committee for +/- six years.  Also volunteered for Lotus Blossoms Bazaar every year I could.

Which volunteer experiences have you most enjoyed? Why?

I love Streets!   Super crew, behind the scenes, physically and mentally challenging.  And we knew we were helping to keep the Festival safe for everybody.

How would you describe to a friend why they should attend or volunteer for the Lotus Festival?

They should do both.  Working a volunteer shift, you meet wonderful people, and learn to appreciate the music even more because you know what makes the festival tick.  The music, sights as well as sounds, the street scene is horizon-expanding and simply joyful.

What is your favorite Lotus moment?

My favorite band is still Samarabalouf!
