Volunteer Profile: Cherri DuPree

How did you first hear about the Lotus organization?
Cindy L. (now Beaule) came to Sunrise Greetings with a ton of little index cards 20 years ago looking for volunteers.

What initially inspired you to volunteer for our organization?
I was interested in being more involved in the community and I love music.

What volunteer jobs have you performed?
Ticket sales, merchandise sales, and wristband exchange tent

Which volunteer experiences have you most enjoyed?  Why?
I like the wristbands best.  I like being outside and seeing all the people and action.

How would you describe to a friend why they should attend or volunteer for the Lotus Festival?
If they love music as I do, this is the place to be and learn about other cultures.

What is your favorite Lotus moment (favorite band, street scene, etc)?
I always like the tent dances, and meeting the artists at the after-parties.
