Nora Jane Struthers & the Party Line

* 2014 Lotus Dickey Artist *

This high-energy Nashville-based quintet performs Struthers’ original story-songs with tight three-part harmonies, fiddle, claw-hammer banjo, acoustic guitar, bass, and drums. Struthers led her band to a blue ribbon at the 2010 Telluride Bluegrass Festival competition, and now she and the Party Line are touring in support of their latest release, Carnival. Her songs are steeped in American history, and they are as well-crafted as the beautiful vintage dresses she wears on stage.

The Lotus Dickey Artist honors the late Lotus Dickey, an Indiana old-time musician whose love of music from around the world embodies the spirit of the Lotus World Music and Arts Festival.
