Ongoing Installations and Activities
“Crankies & The Art of Storytelling” Story Yurt – experience cranky story scrolls made from our community in an intimate Festival hideaway.
“Alight on Lotus” made by Bloomington Open Studio Tour (BŌST) artists. Visit their photo booth with this Lotus-themed painting created just for this year’s Arts Village.
“Light and Color Experience” human-computer interactive display and immersive kaleidoscope environment.
“Welcoming Wall” installation with Ivy Tech Community College and artist Joe LaMantia,
Also: make-and-take cranky story scrolls and demos, chalk art, hula-hooping, bubble-making, and poetry on demand!
Live Performances/Workshops
Friday
6:00-9:00pm: Come knit with Danish visual artist Isabel Berglund and contribute to “Home Mask Relations,” a collaborative, social art project in partnership with IU School of Art, Architecture, and Design.
8:30-9:00pm: Breakdance Club at IU performance
9:15-9:45pm: “Hear Here Stage” featuring poet Tony Brewer and Writers Guild poets perform adult-themed poetry on the global topic of “home”
Saturday
8:00-8:30pm: “Hear Here Stage” featuring poet Adam Henze and Writers Guild poets perform kid-friendly poetry on the global topic of “home”
