Ruth Theodore

Busking and performing in bars from the age of 14 — and then self-releasing her first three records — Ruth Theodore has led a nomadic life between river boats, squats, and artist workshops in East London. Since 2020, she has been based in the south of England, where she settled to co-run a music venue. Her music is inspired by lived, transient experience, and there’s a playful rebellion in her delivery that hints at 1920s vaudeville theater, buckets of indie punk rock attitude, and the lyrical energy of a beat poet.
