Dance from the African Diaspora / US

Founded in 1974, Indiana University’s African American Dance Company brings Black dance to center stage — sharing movement traditions and diverse dance forms
of the African diaspora and African American culture. The company’s repertoire includes African dance styles in contemporary, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and various cultural forms. Students in the Dance Company focus on embodied research through choreographic projects, performances, and workshops. Led by Stafford Berry, Jr. the company will perform at Lotus in the Park.
