Insun Park & Generals

Insun Park is one of the few female masters of the Gangnyeong Mask Dance, a tradition historically dominated by men. She reimagines age-old songs, continuously exploring new creative directions to introduce this ancient art — designated as a part of Korea’s National Intangible Heritage — to new audiences. The group features Park (vocals, dance), Donghyuk Heo (composition, guitar), Hyunmo Yang (drums), Johyun Kim (taepyeongso, flute), and Hahyungki Baek (bass guitar). They seamlessly merge traditional rhythms with modern rock influences.
