Tatiana Hargreaves, Allison de Groot, and Nic Gareiss play across the seams of sight, sound, and touch through fiddle, banjo, and percussive dance. The trio shares a deep love for melody and gesture learned person-to-person, hand-to-hand, foot-to-foot but also through audio and video sources. Working alongside the traces of movers and musicians who came before, Hargreaves, de Groot, and Gareiss seek new pleasure and possibility in the musical and dance repertoire of what’s now called Appalachia, Ireland, and what’s now called Canada.
