Irish accordion virtuoso Jimmy Keane and the remarkable bouzar player and vocalist Pat Broader are Bohola. Their driving, intense style is infused with the raw, urban musical vernacular of the Irish and Irish-American experience. Many of the tunes they play are more than a century old, but the music is vibrant, intricate, and emotional: a vivid demonstration of the vitality of Irish traditions. “It is the music that counts,” says Jimmy. “We really listen to and respond to each other when we play — bending, twisting, and caressing the music as it flows along.”
