Lotus Story: Samantha & Doug Eibling

"Our world gets smaller every day, and we can all benefit from the universal uniting that music and the arts can provide."

It’s not lost on us the impact of the power of music and the arts on community. Especially during the global pandemic, we have witnessed the capacity of the arts to unite across boundaries and transverse borders in order to bring people closer together.
Friends of Lotus, Samantha and Doug Eibling, have played such essential roles for Lotus and continually offer support, with Samantha as a local business owner and Doug as a former board chair and current advisory board member.
Lotus explores the global diversity of cultural heritage through music and the arts. We especially love Doug and Samantha’s take on why they support our mission:

“The Lotus Festival is a favorite event annually for Sam and me. To spend a couple nights dancing in the streets with friends old and new and discover new music is something we always look forward to. But, our real satisfaction as donors is the year-round work that Lotus does in our region to break down barriers and introduce new and different cultures into schools and community organizations. Our world gets smaller every day, and we can all benefit from the universal uniting that music and the arts can provide.”

Thank you for everything you do, Doug and Samantha,  for Lotus and for your community!
Consider giving a gift to Lotus to enable us to make Bloomington a unique, vibrant place that celebrates the diversity of the world’s cultures through music and arts programming all year long.

Your contributions, large and small, make our work possible. When you donate to Lotus, you commit to helping foster the love of the diversity of the world’s cultures in South Central Indiana. There are many ways to donate to Lotus. Click “Donate” for more information.
