2016 Festival Artist Line-up

It’s here!  We’re excited to reveal the 30+ different artists who will take the stage throughout the 23rd annual Lotus World Music & Arts Festival.  The majority of our 2016 artists are making their Lotus debut this year, so there will be loads of new  music to discover . . . but, of course, we’ve also invited back some fan favorites who can’t wait to return to Bloomington.  We’ve got Cuban son and Zimbabwean Afro-fusion alongside Swedish swing and Israeli electronica, complemented by delicate Nordic vocals, timplé genius from the Canary Islands, and even some big Austrian brass. Powerful sounds from the steppes of Mongolia share the stage with mesmerizing Sufi Qawwali, or you can enjoy one of the biggest names in reggae after getting your fill of American old-time, Irish trad, Ethiopian dance, and sizzling Afro-Cuban grooves. And that’s just the tip of the 2016 iceberg . . .
