DESCRIPTION:Admission will be $5-$15\, sliding scale – and remember\, every dollar will be matched.\nTo kick off the Lotus Match campaign\, Lotus will be hosting a square dance at the Lotus Firebay on Friday\, July 31\, 7:30 – 9:30 PM. We’ll have two bands and two callers interwoven throughout the night\, mixing and matching being the theme of the night. \nOur bands will be local favorites Ox on Fire and Indianapolis favorites Squirrel Butter. DESCRIPTION:Help bring the Lotus Festival to life by creating a flower that will bloom under the night sky! \nJoin us for a free\, hands-on workshop where you’ll craft cardboard flower petals and help build our towering 11-foot illuminated flower lanterns. Cut your own unique petals or choose from pre-cut designs\, then add your creativity to a one-of-a-kind community art installation that will glow throughout the evenings of the Lotus World Music & Arts Festival. \nEvery participant will be recognized in the official Lotus Festival Program\, and when the festival arrives\, you’ll be able to point to the lanterns and say\, “I helped create that.” \nThis workshop is free and open to all ages and skill levels. Donations are appreciated and will help us purchase materials to bring these giant blooms to life. DESCRIPTION:Friday October 2nd from 6PM – 10PM\nSaturday October 3rd from 6PM – 10PM\nKirkwood on the Square (Between College Ave and Walnut)\nThe Arts Village is where creativity comes to life during the festival weekend. Wander through a vibrant evening atmosphere filled with live art demonstrations\, interactive activities\, local and regional artists\, and a Night Bazaar celebrating handmade work\, creativity\, and community. Discover new artists\, try your hand at creative experiences\, and enjoy the energy of the festival after dark. \nDuring the festival-wide break at 8:30 PM Friday evening\, enjoy a special Taste of the IU Drumline bringing rhythm and excitement to the heart of downtown. Then on Saturday evening\, the 2026 Parade returns\, lighting up the streets with music\, movement\, and celebration once again. \nThe Arts Village is alive from 6 PM – 10 PM on Friday\, October 2nd and Saturday\, October 3rd\, 2026.
